Tour the fundamentals of painting the small creatures at the Artisan Santa Fe.

Spray bottle with H2O inside
Plastic cup to hold water
Watercolors (12 or more colors) (Dry or Tube style)
Watercolor brushes, a small, medium, and large round of any of the following sizes: 2, 4, 6, 8
Watercolor paper: 140lb block (Size 9×12″ or smaller) or a sheet of Arches 140lb 22×30″ white or bright white (torn into 4 pieces)
Masking Fluid: Fineline® Pen, Supernib – Fine Tip
Sharpie: black fine line
Thin white acrylic paint pen or thin white marker that will draw over watercolor and gouache
Level: All Levels

ADVANCED: We will show examples of bugs painting on pre-painted landscapes, a beetle painted on black paper (by Wendy) using iridescent materials Artisans carries. These will be examples of advancing technique for students who want to go further in their art.
